Surgical Experience and Success Rates

Mr Tsang has a wide experience in all aspects of cardiac surgery. He performs all the major adult cardiac heart operations including coronary artery bypass surgery and valve replacement surgery. He particularly specialises in aortic and mitral valve repair surgery and is a recognised national expert in aortic root repair, aortic arch replacement and thoraco-abdominal aortic surgery. He also has a specialist interest in surgery of the pulmonary and tricuspid valves in patients with neuroendocrine tumours, and surgery for atrial fibrillation.

Mr Tsang is one of the highest performing cardiac surgeons in the UK in terms of outcomes. Data has been released by the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland (SCTS) since 2010. The most recent update confirms that Mr Tsang has one of the largest practices in the UK with a particularly complex case mix. It also shows his patient’s survival outcomes are outstanding.
